This is the pot I made in ceramics this year. Raku fired it with white crackle and low fire glazes. I won a blue ribbon for it in a recent art contest. Hope you enjoy it too!

Beautifully crafted! Your choice of raku glazes really enhances the elegance of the cut-out shapes.

Thanks so much!!! The blue isn't even a raku glaze. Its a low-fire glaze undercoat. :) Neat trick I learned.

Is it really? I love that about ceramics; just as there's unlimited ways of sculpting the clay, there are multitudes of combinations of glazes, washes and stains one can use to colour the piece. :)

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn that's good! I SUCK at ceramics--drawing and painting is more my thing--and how in the HELL did you keep it from falling apart in the kiln? It looks like it woulda drooped from all the empty space!

Really nice, I can see why you got a blue ribbon. IT'S SO PRETTY. Nice choice with the fabric for the photo too. AUGH THE COMMENTS JUST KEEP ROLLIN NOOOO

Hahaha Thanks so much :) I let the clay get leather hard before even thinking about cutting into it. I was more worried about the raku fire I put it in. But it survived so YAY! You're the first to notice the fabric, I barely noticed myself. XD

I love the way the blue glaze works its way gradually into the clay, the elegant network of shapes cut out of it. Beautiful work!
